While coming close to finish a couple of projects I've been working on for a long time - the new JD & Cicadas album and the new Foik Implosion single - I began to wonder what came next. I grabbed an acoustic guitar and a few microphones and some lyrics sheets from 2005 - 2006 that have never found firm melodies or chord changes. Here are some improvised demos that aim to turn those sheets into songs. Some may keep these current chords and melodies, others - (say, 16-20) won't. I rattled off 20 in a day or two and here they are.
