about

One of my dreams when I moved to NC in 2013 was to eventually buy a house where I could play drums whenever I wanted to. Four years later, that dream came true. In 2019, I made a record with Dennis Callaci where I played drums at his encouragement, and it rebuilt a lot of my confidence as a drummer. Then, in 2021, FI reunited. That motivated me further to play drums even more, and now I'm actually playing drums more than guitar.

In the 90's, I used to give Lou riff tapes with guitar parts on them that previewed potential verse/chorus combos. These days, I've been sending him playlists that are kinda the same deal but with drums instead of guitar. One of the songs on our forthcoming single started that way, and I was surprised by the one he picked. This playlist contains that one plus some of my other favorites from an ongoing list of drum set writings that I'd like to see turn into full fledged songs in the future, whether it be for FI, solo, or with Cicadas. One project I'm looking forward to is a solo album with only drums and vocals.
